“Another one in the books”….Thanks everyone!

Well- the 2013 Great Twin Ports Taste-Together Brewfest & Wine Tasting is “in the books”- and what a great time it was!  Thanks to the wonderful breweries and wineries who participated, our fantastic staff & volunteers who make this event possible, Stealth Security and their professional staff, Black Bear Casino, our sponsors, our entertainment including John & Andy, The Revilers & of course, the DROPKICK MURPHYS- and finally – our biggest thanks goes to the 2,000 people who purchased tickets and attended this event!

Save the date – Saturday, February 22, 2014!

Tickets will go on sale in November – check back then!

For the record… a Photo ID is required to get into Brewfest!

Pursuant to Minnesota Statue 340A.503, Subd. 6.

Proof of age for purchasing or consuming alcoholic beverages may be established only by one of the following:
(1) a valid driver’s license or identification card issued by Minnesota, another state, or a province of Canada, and including the photograph and date of birth of the licensed person;
(2) a valid military identification card issued by the United States Department of Defense;
(3) a valid passport issued by the United States; or
(4) in the case of a foreign national, by a valid passport.

This law will be enforced— everyone who enters the Brewfest is expected to show one of the above pieces for proof of age.  We apologize in advance – there can be no exceptions.

GOOD NEWS! 10 Tickets found at Rex!

We have just been made aware from Mike Lemon, the owner of the Rex Nightclub, that he found 10 tickets that were NOT SOLD for the Brewfest!  The Rex was an authorized ticket seller for the event.   These tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 4PM today when they open!  The Rex Nightclub is located in the basement of the Fitger’s complex at 600 E. Superior Street in Duluth.  Ask for Mike!

Shuttle Bus Schedule Announced!

The FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE to this year’s Brewfest – sponsored by BENNA FORD in Superior, WI – will be provided starting at 2:55PM on Saturday, February 23rd.  All buses will leave from – and return to – the Dubh Linn Irish Brew Pub located at 109 W. Superior Street in downtown Duluth.  Buses will load beginning at 2:55PM and depart when full.  We have several buses that will be available – but we do suggest you arrive early to be ready to go!  Buses will then head to Black Bear Casino and drop off and return to Dubh Linn’s for the next group.  The LAST bus leaving for the Casino from Dubh Linn’s will leave Dubh Linn’s at 6PM!

The buses will then begin returning to Dubh Linn’s immediately following the Brewfest at 8PM.  For those wanting to stay and enjoy the DROPKICK MURPHYS concert – the buses will be available at the end of the concert – approximately 11PM.  The last buses scheduled to leave Black Bear Casino will be at 12-Midnight!

FYI… The Shack Liquor store in Superior is now officially SOLD OUT!  Some tickets still remain at Cash Wise Liquors, Dubh Linn Irish Brew Pub and Carmody Irish Brew Pub.  The Rex Nightclub and Black Bear Casino are also sold out.
